How to reach Trastevere

From Leonardo da Vinci Airport (Fiumicino)
Leonardo da Vinci airport is 26 km from Rome.
To reach Trastevere, take the local FM1 train - it's the train directed to Orte - to Trastevere Railway Station. The journey lasts about 30 minutes and costs 8 Euro. Then, you can either take a taxi (10 minutes) or the tram line 8 to Piazza Gioacchino Belli. As an alternative, take a taxi from Fiumicino (30/40 minutes, fixed rate 48 Euro - baggage included).

From Ciampino Airport
Ciampino Airport is 20 km from Rome.
The quickest way to reach Trastevere is the taxi (30 minutes, fixed rate 30 Euro - baggage included).
Alternatevely, Cotral/Schiaffini blue buses go to Termini Railway Station. Tickets can be bought onboard and cost 5 Euro. The Sitbusshuttle line also goes to Termini (6 Euro). Terravision provides a transfer service to Termini for those arriving with Ryanair, Easyjet, Hapag Lloyd Express, Wizz Air, Blue Air and Central Wings. Tickets cost 8 Euro for adults and 4 for children and can be bought on airplanes, the Internet sites of the low cost companies, at the stands in front of the airport arrival area or directly from Terravision. From Termini, take the bus H to Piazza Gioacchino Belli (5 stops).
Please note that this is a very long trip which can take even 2 hours!

By Train
From the Termini Railway Station, take the bus H to Piazza Gioacchino Belli (5 stops) or take a taxi (circa 15 Euro - 20 minutes).

By Car
From Fiumicino Airport: drive taking Viale Cristoforo Colombo towards city centre; at the end of Viale Cristoforo Colombo follow the directions for Viale Marconi, then Stazione Trastevere, then Viale Trastevere.
From the G.R.A. (Grande Raccordo Anulare): exit n. 31 - Magliana, direction Roma Centro, then Via Oderisi da Gubbio; at the traffic light turn left, cross Ponte Bianco, continue straight ahead on Viale dei Quattro Venti. At the last traffic light turn right, cross the Mura Gianicolensi, descend Via Fabrizi, then Via Garibaldi, turn right and you are in Via Goffredo Mameli, where you can park your car.
